13th Floor Elevators "Easter Everywhere" $15.99 Released in 1967, "Easter Everywhere" is a great example of early psychedelic rock. Formed in Texas in the mid 60's, the Elevators started as a garage rock band and quickly gained recognition in the San Fransisco underground music scene. Groovy Texans will always have a soft spot for the Elevators.	13th Floor Elevators "Bull of the Woods" $13.99 Released in 1968, this was the band's last studio album, sadly due to Roky Erickson's downward spiral. A very strange cut of "May the Circle Remain Unbroken", still has fans scratching their heads. Ah, the 60's. Bands did strange things.
13th Floor Elevators "Live" $15.99 Released in 1968, this album is a good mix of songs from previous albums along with some well-chosen covers.	13th Floor Elevators "Psych-Out" $15.99 Released in 2005, this is a digitally remastered album with all of the Elevators' big hits.
13th Floor Elevators "Goin' Up: Very Best Of" $16.99 Yet another digitally remastered "best of" album. However, this one has 20 songs on it including some live tracks.	Bubble Puppy "A Gathering Of Promises" $12.99 One of the last bands signed to the legendary International Artists label, Bubble Puppy also gave the label it's biggest hit, "Hot Smoke And Sasafrass". The Austin based quartet has it's roots in Corpus Christi and is made up of Todd Potter (guitar), Roy Cox (bass), Rod Prince (guitar) and David "Fuzzy" Fore (drums). Their 1969 debut, A Gathering Of Promises, showed traces of Jimi Hendrix, Cream and Moby Grape. Their hit "Hot Smoke and Sasafrasss" is # 3 Greatest One Hit Wonders of all time, ranked by VH1. They also have a star on our own South Texas Music Walk of Fame.
Doug Sahm "Groover's Paradise" $14.99 This is simply a great roots rock album, and like much of Sahm's work, it is loaded with complex details as well as interplay between musicians. These tracks indicate a mastery of many basic styles such as blues, rhythm & blues, norteño, country, and Cajun and the players always seem to be probing beyond this to find something new. Doug Sahm recieved his star on our South Texas Music Walk of Fame in 2006.	Doug Sahm "Hell Of A Spell" $14.99 This 1980 reissue is a hell of a disc. From the opening riffs it's crammed with Sahm's signature rompin' and stompin' Texas blues/rhythm & blues mix. It also includes liberal dashes of the Tex-Mex and rockabilly he grew up cutting his teeth on. Doug Sahm is Texas-bred, but his influences are as broad as the Texas sky is big.
Doug Sahm "Juke Box Music/The Last Real Texas Blues Band" (double LP disc) $17.99 This is two great albums on one CD! "Juke Box Music" (1989) is a great mix of American roots music, and he's backed on the tracks by the Antone's house band. "The Last Real Texas Blues Band" (1994) is a nearly perfect roots record, boasting both a stellar set of songs and exciting, unpredictable performances, with a slew of guest musicians, that make it arguably his best record ever. What a deal, two classic Sahm albums for the price of one!	Doug Sahm "The Return Of Wayne Douglas" $17.99 Recorded in 1999 and tragically released after his death, the album is almost an homage to the state of Texas. The tracks are stripped-down and soulful, while he's backed up by his usual support group of amazing musicians. At the time of it's release, the album contained new originals by Sahm and some old classics from Sir Douglas Quintet days. It's a bittersweet album for Sahm fans and Texans.
Doug Sahm & Friends "Best Of Atlantic Sessions" $14.99 A compilation of songs from his first two albums, now out of print, "Doug Sahm and Band" and "Texas Tornado," fans were chomping at the bit to get their hands on these collections of songs. They had gone unheard for far too long, and in 1992, the label finally released them, again, to the fans. Contains 5 previously unreleased tracks.	Psychedelic States: Texas In The 60's $15.99 Outside the California state line, Texas had arguably the most significant -- and unconventional -- psychedelic circuit in the whole of '60s America, tied up with Tex-Mex border music, modified country accouterments, and the vast, boiling plains of oil derricks, longhorn cattle, good ol' boys, and, undoubtedly, a particularly potent genus of psychotropic cactus. This mix of tracks is positively gushing with an abundance of smokin' acidified Texas garage rock.
Roky Erickson "Roky Erickson & the Aliens/The Evil One" (double LP disc) $16.99 Like Syd Barrett, a common point of reference, Roky Erickson rose to cult-hero status as much for his music as for his tragic personal life; in light of his legendary bouts with madness and mythic drug abuse, the influence exerted by his garage-bred psychedelia was often lost in the shuffle. The two albums featured on this two-disc set, find Roky a changed man in his style of music after a deeply troubling stay in a mental institution. With twisted and dark lyrics and a post-psychedelia/punk feel, it put's his rock genius on display to the world.	Roky Erickson "Don't Slander Me" $14.99 Released in 1977.
Roky Erickson "Gremlins Have Pictures" $14.99 A hodgepodge of outtakes and odds 'n' ends make up this album, which was recorded between 1975 and 1982. It features Erickson solo, at first, and then backed up by three different groups -- the Explosives, the Aliens and Blieb Alien.	Roky Erickson "Hide Behind The Sun: Bootlegs" $15.99 A collection of "authorized" bootleg recordings from his days with the Elevators and from his solo career.
Roky Erickson "Live" (double disc: Live at Ritz, Live in Dallas) $22.99 This two-disc set contains two live performances from the 13th Floor Elevators leader and psychedelic visionary, Roky Erickson. Disc 1 is a 1987 performance from The Ritz in Austin and features Will Sexton on guitar with Erickson. Disc 2 of the set is a rarely found performance from 1979 in Dallas where Erickson is backed up by The Nervebreakers. It's a great recording and showcases his prowess as a live performer. It also has him playing some lesser-known, but equally amazing songs.	Sir Douglas Quintet "Best Of Doug Sahm & Sir Douglas Quintet" $14.99 They are the real deal. A classic Texas roots-rock/americana/blues band. It's a collection of their greatest hits.
Sir Douglas Quintet "Live From Austin Texas" $17.99 The infamous TV show "Austin City Limits" has opened it's vaults and have begun to release great performances on CD and DVD's. These are the uncut versions....the whole performance without edit for commercials and outtakes. Check them all out. (This is also available on DVD)	Spencer Perskin & Friends "Magic Feather" $15.99 As guitarist and violinist for the 60's cosmic country band, Shiva's Headband, Perskin has played his homegrown brand of psychedelic roots music for over 50 years. Released in 2004, "Magic Feather" is 14 original songs all written by Perskin and performed with friends, all of which are amazing musicians. The songs range from light and organic feeling, to flat-out country rockers. It's sure to please Headband fans!
